BMW 3 Series 50th Anniversary Editions
We kick things off with BMW. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 3 series, BMW has launched the 50 Jahre editions of the 3 series long wheelbase and the M340i in India. Both models are limited to just 50 units each. The 330 Li M Sport 50 Jahre edition costs rupees 1.4 lakh more than the regular 330 Li variant it’s based on, while the M340i 50 Jahre edition costs rupees 1 lakh more than the regular car. The 330 Li M Sport 50 Jahre edition gets gloss black treatment for the kidney grill, window trim, rear diffusers and tail pipes.
There’s also a ‘one of 50’ badge on the B-pillar. Inside, it gets carbon fibre trim along with a heads-up display and 3D augmented navigation. The M340i also gets a ‘one of 50’ badge on the B-pillar, 50 Jahre emblems on the front, rear, and on the hub caps, and the regular badging is also now finished in gloss black. Inside, it gets black leather upholstery, M highlights, and it comes with an M performance key fob. Under the hood, both cars carry the same powertrains as before. In the case of the 330 Li M Sport, that is the 2 L turbo petrol engine with 258 horsepower and 400 Nm, while the M340i retains the 3 L inline 6 petrol engine producing 374 horsepower and 500 Nm. The diesel-powered 320 Ld does not get the 50 Jahre edition.
Toyota Camry Sprint Edition
Toyota has launched a sprint edition of the Camry at rupees 48.50 lakh. It comes as a dealer-level accessory kit and costs the same as a regular elegance variant. The sprint edition is available in five colours: emotional red, platinum white pearl, cement grey, precious metal, and dark blue metallic. All of which are contrasted by a matte black finish on the bonnet, roof, and trunk. It also gets sporty-looking extensions on the front and rear bumpers and a subtle spoiler on the boot lid. The 18-in alloy wheels also get a blacked-out finish. Inside, it gets ambient lighting and puddle lamps, both of which are dealer-level accessories.
Other features like the 12.3-inch infotainment system and digital driver’s display, powered and ventilated front seats, and a 9-speaker JBL system are carried over from the regular car. The hybrid powertrain is also unchanged, powered by a 2.5 L 4-cylinder petrol engine combined with an electric motor for a total system output of 230 horsepower. Transmission duties are handled by an ECVT unit.
Updated Lexus NX
Lexus has launched an updated version of the NX luxury SUV with a few new features and colours. Prices are unchanged, starting at rupees 68.02 lakh, and it comes in four trim levels. This is what the detailed price list looks like. The 2025 NX gets two new colour options. Radiant red is available with the exquisite luxury and F Sport trims, while the white Nova is available with the exquisite luxury and overtrail. Inside, it gets improved noise insulation and an improved AC filter that is better at filtering out tiny particles. It also now gets uphill assist control, which helps regulate speeds while driving uphill. The climate control system has also been tweaked to use less energy and improve fuel efficiency, which is now claimed to be 20.26 KPL. Under the hood, the NX continues with a 2.5 L 4-cylinder petrol hybrid setup that produces 243 horsepower and is mated to an ECVT automatic gearbox. The engine is also now E20 fuel compliant.
Hyundai Exter Pro Pack
Hyundai has launched a new Pro Pack for the Exter. Essentially, an accessory pack that costs an additional 5,000 over the trim it’s based on. The pro pack gets a more prominent wheel arch cladding, which is an add-on over the existing cladding and a new side sill garnish as part of the package. It also gets a new Titan matte grey paint finish. The Pro Pack is available on the S Plus trim onwards, and this is what the entire price list looks like. The rest of the features and the powertrain options on the Exter are carried forward unchanged.
Two-Wheeler News: Hero Glamour X
Moving on to two-wheeler news. Hero Motocorp has launched the Glamour X at rupees 90,000, and the big talking point is that it gets cruise control. The Glamour X carries forward the familiar commuter styling but gets subtle updates. It now has a more muscular bodywork, comes in five colours, and gets a taller tinted windscreen. The handlebars are wider, the seat is roomier and lower at 790 mm. And Hero has added underseat storage for small items. The Glamour X becomes India’s first commuter motorcycle with cruise control made possible by a new ride-by-wire throttle. It also gets three riding modes: power, road, and eco, along with an adaptive LCD screen with Bluetooth.
Lighting is all LED with a new headlight auto-adjust function and a tail light borrowed from the Xtreme 250R. The indicators also feature a panic brake alert. Powering the Glamour X is the same 124.7cc single cylinder from the Xtreme 125R, producing 11.5 horsepower and 10.5 Newton meters with a 5-speed gearbox. Suspension is via a telescopic fork and twin shocks, while braking is handled by a front disc and rear drum. Unlike the Xtreme 125R, there is no ABS on offer.
Updated Yamaha Scooters
Yamaha has updated its Ray ZR125 and Fascino 125 hybrid scooters for 2025 with a revised ISG system, revised dash, and new colours. Prices start at rupees 79,340 for the Ray ZR and 80,750 rupees for the Fascino. The big update is Yamaha’s new enhanced power assist system that is claimed to provide stronger acceleration, especially on inclines or with a pillion. It gets a high-performance battery, smart motor generator, silent start and stop system. The top-spec ZR S now gets a colour TFT dash with turn-by-turn navigation via the Y connect app, integrating Google Maps for real-time directions, alerts, and road names. There are also a few new colours on offer. The Fascino S125 gets a new matte grey option with a metallic light green for the disc variant and a metallic white for the drum. The Ray ZR Street Rally is offered in matte grey metallic, while the Ray ZR disc variant gets a silver white cocktail shade.
Harley-Davidson Street Bob
Harley-Davidson has expanded its India lineup with the return of the Street Bob, launched at rupees 18.77 lakh. The 2025 Street Bob is powered by a 1,923cc V-twin air/liquid cooled engine producing 91 horsepower and 156 Newton meters of torque paired with a six-speed gearbox. Suspension comes via a non-adjustable 49mm telescopic fork up front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear, mounted on a tubular cradle-style frame. Braking is handled by a single disc at both front and rear.
The Street Bob’s look remains largely unchanged, keeping its long, low stance and mini ape-hanger bars. It’s one of Harley-Davidson’s slimmer, lighter bikes. The 2025 model stands out with a chrome 2-into-1 longtail exhaust, replacing the previous blacked-out 2-into-2 setup. It comes with 19-inch front and 16-inch rear cast alloy wheels, and Harley also offers accessory cross-spoke wheels for rupees 87,000. The 2025 Street Bob also comes with a full suite of rider aids that includes three riding modes, sport, road, and rain, drag-torque slip assist, cruise control, traction control, and dual-channel ABS, all with cornering functionality.
Aether Energy Battery Service
And finally, Aether Energy has announced a battery-as-a-service model for its two-wheelers, becoming the second two-wheeler manufacturer to do so after Hero Motocorp. With battery as a service, Aether has significantly lowered the entry cost of its scooters. The Rizta starts at Rs 75,999 while the 450 series starts at Rs 84,341. Customers pay a flexible monthly fee for the battery based on usage. The cost is spread over 3 to 4 years with a usage-based rate of rupees 1 per kilometre for a 48-month plan, including a minimum of 1,000 km per month. Aether is also expanding its assured buyback program. First piloted in February, the company claims customers can get up to 60% of a scooter’s value after 3 years and up to 50% after four, with the payout based on the kilometres travelled.
